Natasha brought home Young Avengers, I brought home Lumberjanes, and after we finished, we swapped. Sunday afternoons in fall the Spouse watches football. We went to the library and stopped for Slush Puppies at the Quickie Mart, because even though we're into September the actual temps are still in the nineties, and the heat index is over a hundred. I hate the heat. But I love spending a Sunday afternoon on the den couch with a kid, reading and sharing. Teach your children to read early and often: you'll have twice as many books around to enjoy, some thoughtfully pre-screened.

A word about blogkeeping:having gotten so hideously behind in my reviewing, I'm now taking things off my Currently Reading list, and posting based on how easy it is to do so. I'll probably end up not actually writing any kind of review for a lot of stuff, just to get it listed with the date completed, because my Reading Challenge is being met, it just doesn't count because I have more than a hundred books I've finished, but not posted.
