I'm not sure what I think of this. There's some extremely funny bits, at Comic-Con, and with the
Vampire Hunters show. There's lots of nerd appeal with the theater group and
Rocky Horror. The teen characters are well-drawn and recognizable without being too stereotypical. Sejal is marvelous, she's smart and appealing, and the story of an Indian exchange student recovering from a bad time by throwing herself fully into the USian experience, is great. But like other readers, I wasn't expecting the dark turn mid-way. And the ending left me a bit confused. So, not my favorite work by Rex, but still really good.
