The Siren Song - Anne Ursu, Eric Fortune The Possum didn't seem to need a refresher on the first book, but the PandaBat did. I was amused by what's been going on in Charlotte's life. The therapist scene is killing me.***Things are getting interesting. The American History cruise is killing me.***Last night reading took us to the Mall with Zee and filled in a bit of back story since the first book. Ursu delights with her humor and keen observance of middle-school kids. Charlotte, Zee, and Maddy, as well as their parents, are all finely wrought.***Philonecron is so much fun to read aloud. A great villain.***It's a pity we stopped reading this before. The story builds to a very exciting action sequence. Giant squid! I'm now most anxious to read the third book. Because of how much I like Charlotte, and because of Ursu's humor, I like these much more than the Percy Jackson series.
